Our windows and doors are available in a variety of sizes and options, therefore before we can give you an estimate of cost, we need to do an assessment of your home, apartment, or office building. The price will depend on the size, styles, options and installation of the windows and doors you select. In addition, pricing may vary due to the size and scope of your project. During your free in-home consultation, our windows and door expert will answer all of your questions, offer product recommendations to best suit your needs and provide you with an estimate.
An in-home consultation helps to ensure that the windows and doors we install fit properly and will serve you well for years to come. We need to take accurate measurements of the window and/or door openings, check window sills for decay or other needed repairs, and to ensure you understand what you are buying. The in-home consultation is free and there is no obligation to purchase.
Absolutely. We are happy to replace one window at a time if that is what your budget or needs allow. Doing multiple windows at once could save you money in travel and set up fees, but we have several clients who only do one window at a time.
You can. We offer Marvin and Velux Skylight windows and Therma-Tru doors that can be easily installed by you. However, we have found that most home owners are very busy and would prefer to have us take care of the project from start-to-finish (in-home estimate, custom-made windows and professional installation). Our professional window installers are trained to properly install our windows and doors. Unlike many competitors, we warrant the installation labor for 3 years. Proper installation is a key ingredient to energy efficiency - it assures you of the best possible window performance and optimum weatherproofing.
The current lead time is 4-6 weeks from signing contract to installation. Your window and door consultant will be able to provide you with a more accurate timeline
Our professional window and door installers work year-round. We only take out one window at a time and install the new one in its place before moving on to the next opening. This way there is minimal time that the room is exposed to the elements. Often times, we offer incentives during the winter to keep our valued installation partners busy all year around.
We have a broad range of standard exterior colors, and unlimited custom color options. Interior finishes can be matched to your existing paint or stain.
We do not offer blinds between-the-glass on any of our Marvin or Velux from Marvin product lines. We believe in quality and performance and we believe that blinds between-the-glass is an attractive option in theory but not in practice. Blinds between-the-glass have a tendency to become service issues, they are hard to keep clean and have a questionable effect on energy efficiency. And they are most often twice the price of room-side blinds.
